Tips to make money from paid online surveys

I would say that online surveys are not get rich schemes as many scam sites claim. I have been searching the net for more than 3 years and I have wasted my time with ptc sites, surveys and etc. So I want to place a clear picture in front of this blog reader. There are some facts and tips which you should keep in mind while deciding to make money with online surveys, which are compiled in this post. I would appreciate your comments in this regard, as it would help us learn more about the topic.

Tips:

Don't expect to make a lot of cash from paid online surveys. Its an easy way of making pocket money. You will earn money taking online surveys, and you will hear of people making up to $150 an hour or more, but ignore that. Somebody might make that with a unique survey program that they found, but your average will be about $1 - $5 a survey.

Each survey takes on average around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, you won't make a lot of money, but any extra cash is a help to pay for groceries or save it up for something special. Remember its all for free and the great part is all you need is your opinion.

To start to earn money taking online surveys for cash, you have to find a good paid survey directory. These will offer a variety of paid online surveys, and while some will pay cash for surveys, others will offer you free goods for surveys. Don't be upset if you are offered free goods, because these can be sold on eBay at a good profit, and often earn you more than if you were paid for a cash survey.

The more survey panels you join, the number of surveys you will receive will increase too, in a month or 2 you could be receiving 4 or 5 or more surveys in your email box.

Tips courtesy of ' FREE Survey Gallery'

* Tips from eHow are:

# Don't pay for anything! You shouldn't have to pay for anything, some sites ask you to subscribe for certain offers in order to complete the task, i personally don't do that at all, but if you do that's your choice. Better to look for a free offer.
# Read the privacy policies. It's very tempting to just check the "I read and agree to the terms" but you really want to understand them before you sign up and give your info out to anyone.
# Use an email address that you don't mind possibly being spammed, or create a free new one.
# This list will not work for everyone! They've simply helped me out a lot.
# If something doesn't look right or is too good to be true, it probably is, so always look into the site first.

Tips to make money with PTC sites

This article would help you learn more about PTC sites as there are some hard facts about this money making system. There are some tips to earn more with PTC (paid to click) sites and I hope that it helps you earn more online.

Few facts
* There are some sites that pay at the start and then will disappear just when clickers start to invest money by becoming premium members.

* Making money with PTC is NOT a get-rich scheme. You can earn form $0.0001 to $.02 cent per clicked or viewed site, so it may take weeks or months to earn few dollars from one site.

* The estimate of your earning is shown counting your referral stats, while it is
not sure that you would be able to get 10 or more active members. So the estimate is not the real picture of what you are going to earn from the site. Calculate yourself!

* Relying on your own clicks will only earn you $0.10 cents daily in most sites which translates to only $3.00 monthly granting you clicked 10 ads daily at $0.01 each. 98% of the proven legitimate sites today only pay out when you reach $10.00. It will take you three to four months to reach the amount.

* Joining as many sites will waste your time and effort. It’s not worth it. If some of those sites are scam it would discourage you. So be wise to sign up for few legitimate sites and try to cash out the earnings.

Tips to make money with PTC programs:

- You can only open or view one ad at a time for every site to get the credits. After clicking all the ads for the day always check your stats or account to see your earnings. You should always get the credits right after.

- Open three to five windows at a time and log on to different sites at once. While you wait for an ad to finish at one site you can open ads at the other sites. This way you can log on to 5 sites and click the ads within 30 minutes.

Tips to get referrals for your earning programs

When you start signing up for free programs to make money, you would realize that mostly these PTC, PTR, survey or likewise programs require more members and the members which come through your link are called 'referrals'. It is very clear that more referrals you make, you can make more money. You need referrals for your earning programs as these kind of programs need more members.

You can talk about the programs you are participating to your friends, so they can join with your referral link. There are many other ways to get referrals, which I am going to discuss in this post. I hope that these tips to get referrals would work for you.

You can get your referral link from the site itself. Just copy that link and keep a record of all sites you join, so it is easy for you to get more referrals from your link.

I would like to talk about an article from "eHow" which describes tips to get referrals for IFW (Incentive freebie websites). As these tips can equally be used to get referral for any PTC or PTR sites, I am quoting those tips with some editing:

* 'One of the best ways to get referrals for these websites is to visit a freebie trading forum. On these forums, you can meet other people who are looking to get their IFWs done as well. These forums are usually split into three main categories: referrals for cash, referral for referral, and referral for other. Referrals for cash means that you actually pay someone to be a referral on your IFW(Incentive freebie sites). You give them your referral link, they sign up and complete an offer, and you receive the credit. The benefits to doing this are that you can be sure that the person will complete the IFW and go "green" (i.e. complete the requirements and be a referral for you).
Referral for referral means that you become a referral on someone else's site in exchange for them becoming a referral on your site. This is the fastest way to get your IFW sites done, in my opinion. Referral for other sections on trading forums are devoted to people who can't sign up for someone else's site, and who have no money to pay people to sign up as one of their referrals. So sometimes people will offer a service. For example, they may offer to make you a banner for your website, or offer you a DVD they have, in exchange for you being a refferal for them.'

* 'Create a blog. Blogs can be an effective way to get referrals. Show some proof that the method works. Post often with new content for your readers to enjoy.'

* 'Post your referral link everywhere you can. The more exposure to your referral link, the more referrals you will get! Here are some suggestions on places to post your referral link: your IM profiles (AIM, Yahoo, MSN Messenger, etc.), your website if you have one, in your signature on any forums you visit (if the forum allows it), on your social networking profiles (Myspace, Facebook, etc.), see if your friends will let you post your link on their websites, and in your e-mail signature.'

* 'Make some flyers in Microsoft Word. Include your referral link (preferably on tabs that the person can rip off) and a little bit of information about the website. Post the flyers on public bulletin boards at your school, the grocery store, the library, etc.'

* 'Recruit your family and friends. The best place to begin when you're looking for referrals is to talk to people you already know, your family and friends! Take some time and show them the website and some proof that it works.'

* 'Utilize word of mouth. Word of mouth is still the best way to get a message across. Whenever you encounter someone, make sure to mention about it and encourage them to take a look. The more people who hear about it, the more referrals you will have!'

Secret of earning more with PTC programs

As I have mentioned before I had been trying to make money online and signed up for many sites in past. It took some time to understand and realize that if you want to make money with PTC sites then you need to search very carefully for the trusted sites and at the same time you need to learn some techniques to earn extra cash.

I have discovered few tips and secrets which I want to share with my blog readers:

For example read this post:
Earn easy money with trusted PTC site 'Neobux'

Now there is a secret of earning money with 'Neobux' which was revealed by a forum member, and I insist that the same strategy can work for most of the sites. Now let's learn the secret of making money with PTC sites:

1.Join 'Neobux' and view your advertisements daily 5 minutes of your time.

2. When your account balance reaches $3, rent 10 referrals from Neobux.
Now these 10 referrals will be earning for you as well as yourself. Enable the auto pay function and your referrals will pay their monthly rentals out of their own clicks.

3. When you reach $3 again, repeat step 2. Buy larger groups of referrals if the money is in your account balance.

4. When you have reached 500 rental referrals, use your account balance to upgrade and you will double your earnings.

5. Continue to invest half your earning into referrals and withdraw half for you. With the excellent payment times and the great referral opportunities, 'neobux' can be among the top of the paid to click rankings.

Tips to earn easy online money with paid to click sites

The tips I am going to share with this blog reader are based on my personal information plus internet search. I have more than two years of experience of searching and more than one year dealing with paid to click, paid to read email, paid email sites. I admit here that I wasted time signing up for fake and scam sites, due to lack of information and reliable sources.

Due to my educational activities and blogging I could not sign up or search more about paid to click sites, but as few of my cousins and friends asked me to guide them regarding easy online money making I am going to provide tips and guides at this blog.

Online making money is not an easy task, as you need to spend some time learning about the system you are going to involve your time. Paid to click or view ad is an easy online money making way but there are some techniques you need to learn before starting it.

Tips:

- It is called paid to click, paid to view, paid email, paid to sign up system

- It is one of the easiest money making system at the net, but slow as well.

- Don't expect earning very fast or a lot of money within few days of weeks. It is not a get rich scheme. Just expect extra cash or money but if you are lucky to get more members with your link you can easily earn more cash.

- As the whole system works on making more members, you need to bring more members with your referral link. ( I would explain 'referral' in my next post)

- Read the 'frequetly asked questions' (FAQ) and terms section of the site.

- Before joining any site I recommend to check the site with these sites:
* Been Paid
* GPTbycott
- Paid to click sites (PTC sites) pay you via online banks which you can sign up for free and after getting your money you can transfer that money to your account.

- Now you are ready to join many ptc sites, but make an estimate you much time you want to spend for these sites. You need to be active to these sites, as being inactive for more than one month or more can delete your registration and you may loose your earning.

- I call this ptc earning system the easiest system, as you can do it while doing other online tasks like chatting, blogging, messaging and etc.

- The best part is that you don't need to pay first to earn. All the system or sites are free to join.

How to prevent from identity theft?

As internet use is increasing, we need to protect ourselves from the net crimes. In order to keep us safe from online scams we need to learn how to deter, detect, and defend against identity theft.

First learn what is 'Identity theft':
Identity theft is a term used to refer to fraud that involves someone pretending to be someone else in order to steal money or get other benefits.

"Identity theft" refers to crimes in which someone wrongfully obtains and uses another person's personal data (i.e., name, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, and your financial identity— credit card, bank account and phone-card numbers) in some way that involves fraud or deception, typically for economic gain (to obtain money or goods/services). Criminals also use identity theft to fraudulently obtain identification cards, driver licenses, birth certificates, social security numbers, travel visas and other official government papers.

Unlike your fingerprints (which are unique to you and can't easily be given to, or stolen by, someone else for their use), your personal data can be used, if it falls into the wrong hands, allowing criminals to profit at your expense. Plus, according to the FTC, —on average, most victims don't even know their identity has been stolen until more than a year later.

Identity theft is the nation's fastest growing crime according to FBI statistics and identity theft/fraud is the fastest-growing category of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) complaints.

Identity theft statistics now show that one in four U.S. households has been a victim of identity theft in the past five years, according to a report, in which the federal government for the first time measures the full extent of the crime wave.

In the last year alone, 10 million people were victimized, according to a survey of 4,000 adults sponsored by the Federal Trade Commission.

Identity theft cost victims $5 billion in out-of-pocket expenses and nearly $48 billion in losses to businesses and financial institutions in 2002.

Identity theft can range from fraudulent charges on an existing credit card account to the use of a person's identity to open a new account, take out a loan, rent an apartment or commit a crime.

"This report serves as a reality check by confirming that millions of consumers each year are falling victim to identity theft," says Beth Givens, director of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, a non-profit consumer information and advocacy program.

Measuring the extent of identity theft has been difficult, in part, because people don't always report the crime to authorities. Only about 25% of the victims who participated in the survey said they had filed a report with local police.

"We've been using estimates of 500,000 to 700,000 cases a year," Givens says. "You can toss those out the window."

More Identity Theft Statistics Among the Report's Findings:
Nearly 25% of all victims said their personal information, such as credit cards, checkbooks and Social Security cards, had been lost or stolen, according to the report.

Just 11% of the survey respondents said they were aware that their personal information had been taken before discovering they were victims of identity theft.

The incidence of identity theft was highest in the South and West and lowest in the Midwest.

One-quarter of the victims said the misuse of their information occurred in one day, and 12% said the crime occurred over a period of more than six months.

Many experts and privacy advocates say the FTC report underscores the need for tougher legislation to combat the epidemic.

"Why is identity theft at epidemic proportions?" Givens says. "It's because lenders are making it too easy to get credit, and they're not doing a good enough job of examining applications."

Givens says that credit-reporting bureaus need to alert consumers of possible suspicious activity, such as a change in address. "Early detection is the key to recovery," she says.

Consumers also can report ID theft to the FTC by calling the agency's toll-free number: 877-438-4338.

The secure database can be accessed by local law enforcement agencies.

Tips to Prevent Identity Theft

- Know what’s in your wallet. Avoid carrying your Social Security number in your wallet or purse. This number provides access to personal information, and it should be stored in a safe and protected place. In addition, only carry the credit cards you need. This practice limits access to your accounts in the event that your purse or wallet is lost or stolen. It’s also a good idea to periodically photocopy your cards and keep a record of the customer service phone numbers associated with your financial accounts to speed up the process of cancelling credit cards, if needed.

- Shred, Shred, Shred. Open all mail and read it carefully—even the items that might appear to be junk mail could contain personal offers. Any items with personal information, such as pre-approved credit offers, bank statements or utility bills should be shredded before being discarded.

- Be suspicious of solicitors. You should never give personal information or your Social Security number to people unless you have verified that they are trustworthy. This advice applies to sharing information over the phone, in-store or online.

- Monitor your revolving accounts and credit score. Check your bank, credit card and other financial account information, along with your credit score, once a year to reduce the risk of unauthorized charges or credit applications. If you see a suspicious charge, immediately contact your financial institution.

- Take action against unauthorized actions. If you notice a new account has been opened in your name without your permission, immediately contact one of the three major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian or TransUnion—and ask that a “fraud alert” be placed on your record. Once the alert is placed, the other two bureaus will be notified, and creditors will be required to contact you directly before opening new accounts or making changes to existing accounts. In addition, file a police report and submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. You also might consider enrolling in paid services that monitor your credit report and alert you when someone applies for credit in your name or account information is altered.

- Surf the Internet Safely. Millions of people are online at any given time, some of whom are thieves looking to steal your identity. These hackers can be found collecting information from unsuspecting “pop-ups,” surfing unsecured networks or hacking into retail Web sites. Be sure to always use a secured network, and frequently update firewall protections on your computer. Also limit the amount of personal information you post on networking Web sites.

- Consider purchasing identity theft insurance. Several insurance companies offer identity theft insurance. Although it cannot protect you from becoming a victim of identity theft, this insurance provides coverage for the cost of reclaiming your financial identity, such as the expenses of placing phone calls, making copies, mailing documents, taking time off from work without pay and hiring an attorney. As with any insurance policy, make sure you understand what you are purchasing and compare prices, coverages and deductibles among multiple insurers.

Finding reliable paying sites for online work at home opportunities

Many people search the net to find out earning opportunities, online work at home sites but most of the times they don't get the reliable information.

When you first start searching for online earning, it is very difficult to find the reliable resources. There are millions of scam sites which can snatch your money and wasting your time as well. I have wasted a lot of time searching and then working for online work at home sites. Most of the sites which offer pay per click, pay per sign up, survey sites don't pay you as they promise. Best way to know the truth is to search the net for reliable resouces and sites which could help you in this regard. I would be reviewing many sites and useful resouces which would help you learn about scam sites and how to search for reliable information at the net.

"Fraud.org" provides these tips for avoiding work at home scams:

- Know who you’re dealing with. The company may not be offering to employ you directly, only to sell you training and materials and to find customers for your work.

- Don’t believe that you can make big profits easily. Operating a home-based business is just like any other business – it requires hard work, skill, good products or services, and time to make a profit.

- Be cautious about emails offering work-at-home opportunities. Many unsolicited emails are fraudulent.

- Get all the details before you pay. A legitimate company will be happy to give you information about exactly what you will be doing and for whom.

- Find out if there is really a market for your work. Claims that there are customers for work such as medical billing and craft making may not be true. If the company says it has customers waiting, ask who they are and contact them to confirm. You can also ask likely customers in your area (such as doctors for medical billing services) if they actually employ people to do that work from home.

- Get references for other people who are doing the work. Ask them if the company kept its promises.

- Be aware of legal requirements. To do some types of work, such as medical billing, you may need a license or certificate. Check with your state attorney general’s office. Ask your local zoning board if there are any restrictions on operating a business from your home. Some types of work cannot be done at home under federal law. Look for the nearest U.S. Department of Labor in the government listings of your phone book.

- Know the refund policy. If you have to buy equipment or supplies, ask whether and under what circumstances you can return them for a refund.

- Beware of the old “envelope stuffing” scheme. In this classic scam, instead of getting materials to send out on behalf of a company, you get instructions to place an ad like the one you saw, asking people to send you money for information about working at home. This is an illegal pyramid scheme because there is no real product or service being offered. You won’t get rich, and you could be prosecuted for fraud.

- Be wary of offers to send you an “advance” on your “pay.” Some con artists use this ploy to build trust and get money from your bank. They send you a check for part of your first month’s “pay.” You deposit it, and the bank tells you the check has cleared because the normal time has passed to be notified that checks have bounced. Then the crook contacts you to say that you were mistakenly paid the wrong amount or that you need to return a portion of the payment for some other reason. After you send the money back, the check that you deposited finally bounces because it turned out to be an elaborate fake. Now the crooks have your payment, and you’re left owing your bank the amount that you withdrew.

- Do your own research about work-at-home opportunities. The “Work-At-Home Sourcebook” and other resources that may be available in your local library provide good advice and lists of legitimate companies that hire people to work for them at home. You may discover that these companies hire only local people and that there is nothing available in your area.

Resouces helping you find online reliable 'work at home' sites

* PTC Talk is a site which helps you finding the sites which pay you really. They bring the proof of payments from pay to sites, and they also show the top 10 paying sites which are voted by visitors.

* 'Been Paid' is a reliable resource, a directory of get paid to programs that are verified by their members. This site is online from 2003 and helps its members to earn online. They have around 10,000 members, and by subsrcibing to their newsletter you get the updated information about the scam sites and the links to reliable online work at home, get paid to sites.

There are more sites which you can check by visiting this blog. I would be reviewing those sites or links in seperate posts.
